Devan Linus

Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer

Devan, son of Ms. Kok Wai Leng and grandson of Mr. Kok Ah Too, founded MTC in 2012 alongside Aaron and Donovan. As Chief Investment Officer for the Fund, Devan is responsible for the implementation of its investment strategy. Prior to MTC, Devan managed the Kok family’s global equities portfolio, applying the same investment principles as MTC applies today. Since 2007 to 2012, Devan has successfully delivered a return of 14% p.a. for the Kok family.

Co-Founder & Managing Director

Donovan is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of MTC. Donovan is mainly responsible for the day-to-day management of MTC’s operations, including corporate strategy, business development and operations. Donovan brings along extensive experience in business development and corporate strategy, and deep industry expertise in Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT).

Aaron is a Co-Founder of MTC, having established MTC in 2012. Aaron provides oversight, investment and advisory services for MTC and is not currently responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm’s operations. Prior to MTC, Aaron was an Associate Director at CIMB Group Strategy & Strategic Investments, the Group’s strategy and private equity division.

Kok Wai Leng

Director, Non-Executive

Ms. Kok Wai Leng, daughter of Mr. Kok Ah Too, was the first Chairwoman of MTC during its founding in 2012 by Devan, Aaron and Donovan. Prior to MTC, Ms. Kok was the Managing Director of Malayan Traders & Co. from 1980 to 1985. As Managing Director, Ms. Kok was responsible for the development and implementation of the Firm’s growth strategy, the formation of its research capabilities and the provision of equity investments advice to its clients.

Berkshire Hathaway

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is the Fund’s insurance provider. Established in Boston in 1940, BHSI specialises in commercial property, casualty, healthcare professional liability, executive and professional reinsurance, as well as specialty non-standard insurance. BHSI is a division of the Berkshire Hathaway Group of Insurance Companies, which hold financial strength ratings of A++ from AM Best and AA+ from Standard & Poor’s.

Apex is the Fund’s independent fund administrators. Founded in 2007 by experienced hedge fund administration professionals, Apex is a premium alternative investment services provider headquartered in Bermuda, with offices in Bermuda, Ireland, USA, Mauritius, Malta, and Singapore. XL Group plc (NYSE: XL), a leading provider of global insurance and reinsurance coverage, made a significant minority investment in Apex in December 2007.
